Emerging Young Leaders: This program is designed for male African American or Black students with a shared desire to learn and experience higher education. Students will enroll in a college-level course focused on leadership development while receiving instruction in essential academic skills. Scholars will be paired with male African American or Black mentors from Catawba College, who will provide guidance and insight into college life.
The Unanue Scholars Program: This program is for Latina students interested in higher education. Scholars will be paired with Latina mentors from Catawba College who will meet regularly with students to provide academic and college-life guidance.
Salisbury Academy: This program is exclusively for Salisbury Academy high school students, offering unique opportunities to engage with Catawba College's faculty, coursework, and facilities. Students can gain a head start on their college education through personalized academic experiences.
Traditional: High school students from Rowan, Davie, Davidson, Iredell, Catawba, Cabarrus, and Stanly Counties who are enrolled full-time can take one class from Catawba tuition-free.
Note: The Emerging Young Leaders and The Unanue Scholars Program operate as cohorts with predetermined class selections.
